Have you decided that you are going to try a fitness class? That’s fantastic! Joining a group fitness class can be a very exciting and effective way to begin exercising. But, attempting to venture into that loud and crowded room for the first time can be awfully intimidating. Here are some tips to help you get through this exciting new venture and keep you coming back for more!
Our instructors are available a few minutes prior to the start of class. This is the perfect time to introduce yourself and say that this is your first time! By letting the instructor know, she will be able to give you some tips on how to get the most out of your workout.
The Best is in the Middle
I’m sure you will be inclined to find a spot in the back of the room. Please don’t! The instructor will want to keep an eye on your form and be able to give you tips on how to improve your workout. Also, the seasoned exercisers usually find a place in the front. This gives you someone to visually follow besides the instructor. Also, our instructors will give options throughout the workout for beginners through the advanced exerciser. Please stick to following the beginner moves for the first few classes until you become comfortable with the new workout.
We have a variety of classes at Alignment 8 that you can choose from when beginning your muscle and fitness training. Think about what interests you the most. Does your body crave the tension release that can be found by throwing some punches? Do you want to learn some focus and stretching techniques? Would you like to try your hand at spinning and see what the craze is all about? Whatever you choose, remember to pay attention to your body and what it is capable of. Remember that it will gain strength the more you come. So take a look at your options and decide where you would like to begin!
