Meal Prep & Planning + Nutrition 101 with Cathy White and Keri Kenney

Meal Prep and Planning
and Nutrition 101
with Cathy White and Keri Kenney

 Sunday, September 24th at 10:15am

What we eat influences our bodies, our minds, and our health. Join Cathy and Keri for a 60 minute gathering to help motivate us to take the time to plan and prepare our meals at home and in advance as well as why it is so important to develop a healthy relationship with the foods we eat.
Cathy will be sharing some of her successful tips for planning and preparing meals in advance. Not only has this saved her time and money (and the headache of wondering what’s for dinner), it has also created a healthier lifestyle and diet for her and her family. She will share her experiences with meal prep and planning, time saving tricks, and set us up for success as fall back into the groove.
Keri will be breaking down the importance of eating a well-rounded nutritious diet and how our nutrition influences so much more than how we feel. She will break down portion sizes, when and what you should eat throughout the day, and how to develop a healthy relationship with your food.
This event is FREE. Please come with an open mind and bring a pen and paper to take notes.
We will have snacks to sample.
All are welcome.

Vinyasa Flow Moon Salutations - Chandra Namaskar

Moon Salutations, or Chandra Namaskar, is a receptive, meditative and cooling practice intended to help you release the energy you no longer need and create a calm and restoring nature back to your body, mind, and breath.
This Vinyasa Style practice will encompass mind, body, and spirit – beginning with a guided meditation and moving into our Moon Salutations sequence. Practice will end with a 10 minute Savasana. While students rest and reflect, a smudging ceremony using Clary and White Sage will be performed – intended to fend off negative energies and create blessings, healing, and purification.
Chandra Namaskar aids you in channelizing the lunar energy; which has cool, relaxing, and creative qualities. Chandra Namaskar also stretches the spine, hamstrings, and backs of legs; strengthens leg, arm, back, and stomach muscles.
The moon offers us the ability to feel, learn from the past, and creatively unlock and express our essence.
All levels welcome.
